Labrador George discovers six kittens huddled in a tree trunk in Great Ashfield

A morning walk with labrador George resulted in a feline surprise for Great Ashfield couple Jack and Celia Eggleton.
Mr Eggleton, 79, was near their Wheeler’s Lane home on Friday, October 14, when George found six kittens huddled in a hole in a tree trunk.
Mrs Eggleton said: “We would never have seen them in a million years, because they weren’t crying. Whether someone abandoned them, and what happened to the mother, I don’t know.”
The couple have been looking after them and will rehome them.
