Kirsty Mason from Barrow spots ‘UFO’ in night sky near Bury St Edmunds

A mum from Barrow near Bury St Edmunds said she is 100 per cent sure she saw a ‘UFO’ last night, and wants to hear from anyone else that might have seen anything.

Kirsty Mason, 35, was alerted to a strange sight in the sky by her 11-year-old daughter Bella, who called her mum up to her bedroom after she was scared by what she was witnessing.

After initially being sceptical about what her daughter was saying, Kirsty said she was amazed and excited by what she saw.

Three objects flashing red and blue were moving at speed and illuminating the night sky, then occasionally heading towards each other, then disappearing.

Kirsty who works at Thurston Community College, who said she had ‘never seen anything like it before’ immediately phoned her own mum Christine Mason, who lives a few doors away and could also see the lights.

Bella, Kirsty and her mum then all jumped in the car heading to nearby Higham so they could get a better view through the trees.

Kirsty stayed up until 2am looking out for more activity in the sky. She is convinced it wasn’t a meteor shower, aircraft or Chinese lanterns.

She said: “We were really excited by it, I 100 per cent think we saw a UFO and now I am wondering if anyone else saw it.”

Bella added: “It was definitely aliens.”
