Festive fun run at Culford School, near Bury St Edmunds, will raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care

Runners of all ages are being asked to don Santa hats and lace up their trainers as they raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Taking place on Sunday, December 15, the charity’s second Festive Fun Run, will be held at Culford School, near Bury St Edmunds, starting at 10am.

Participants can choose between a 2.5K or 5K route and are invited to warm up to the sound of Christmas classics.

After crossing the finish line, runners and walkers will be given a medal and can then relax in the event village.

Fran Bean, hospice events fund-raiser, said: “The Festive Fun Run is all about bringing the community together to celebrate the season and make a real difference to people supported by St Nicholas Hospice Care.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to our event sponsors Havebury Housing Partnership as their generosity means more funds will go to support our care and services.”

Entries cost £30 for a family (two adults, three children), £12,50 for adults, £7.50 for children aged five to 17, with under-fives going free.

Anyone interested in taking part in the Festive Fun Run can find out more on the St Nicholas Hospice Care website.

Runners are able to sign-up on the day.
