Bury St Edmunds shop Micks Cycles will give secure bike storage to riders
Cyclists are now able to leave bikes inside a Bury St Edmunds shop to protect against theft.
Micks Cycles in St John's Street has opened its doors to owners following reports from Suffolk Constabulary about a rising number of crimes.
Manager Chloe Hailstone said: "We've decided to offer this as we've had so many reports of people having their bikes stolen from within the town and surrounding areas.
"Some have even been walking back to their bikes and seen a thief cut their lock off and take their bike.
"This is a secure place to leave your bike without the worry of it being stolen or damaged."
It costs £1 a day to leave the bike during opening hours, with all takings being donated to Cancer Research UK.

The shop is also working in conjunction with the police to UV mark bikes, so if they are stolen and recovered they can be reunited with their owner.
Space is limited in Micks Cycles and bikes are left at the owner's risk.
Micks Cycles opens 9.30am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday.
