Baby Arabella was born at 5.14pm to proud parents Saranya and Jordan and weighed 7lb 1.5oz.

A spokesperson said: “There used to be an old superstition that girls born on Christmas Day would grow up to be nurses so you never know, perhaps we’ll be seeing Elsie and Arabella again in a few years time coming to work with us.

“A huge congratulations to the families on their new arrivals and wishing a very happy Christmas to all.”
