Homes in several villages near Bury St Edmunds may face power issues due to a fault.

UK Power Networks has reported an unexpected power cut in the IP32 3 postcode, including Thurston, Walsham le Willows, Norton and Badwell Ash.

The outage was first reported two hours ago and has affected 26 residents.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said the power cut was due to a fault on an underground electricity cable.

Teams are investigating and they may have to dig up the road to carry out repairs.

The firm hopes to get affected homes back up and running by 5pm.
