Thetford girl joins clap for carers while dressed as a different key worker each week
A girl has been bringing smiles to neighbours faces and funds to charity.
Harper, two, from Thetford, has been clapping for carers with her mum every Thursday at 8pm while dressed as a different key worker each week.
She has currently raised almost £1,200 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices .
Her mum Anna Knight, 34, who set up a Just Giving page for Harper, said: “It was important to us to choose a local charity that had been adversely affected by Covid-19. We tried to put ourselves in Harper’s shoes and felt, if she could pick, she would want to help other children in the community.”
Mrs Knight had been in the process of launching a children’s role-playing business and received costumes during the first few weeks of lockdown.
One evening, Harper decided to wear a police uniform while clapping, and after seeing the smiles of neighbours, began dressing up weekly.
