GCSE Results 2019: Mildenhall College Academy




Mildenhall College Academy scored record results.

Of the 168 students, 58 per cent of students achieved grade 4 or above in English and maths combined.

Notable achievers were Ryan Surridge (10 GCSES at grades 9-7 with six grade 9s), Sam Royal (10 GCSES at grades 9-5 with three grade 9s), Grace Taylor-Balls (10 GCSEs at grades 9-7 with one grade 9), Rojin Has (eight GCSEs at grades 9-5 with one grade 9) and Bethany Way (11 GCSEs at grades 9-5 with one grade 9).

Principal Susan Byles said: "We are delighted to have record results this year.

"The percentage of students achieving grade 4 or higher in English and maths has risen by six per cent from last year.

"In addition, an astounding 57 per cent of the students achieved at least one or more of the higher grades in the range of 9-7 (equivalent to the old A*-A grades) across a range of subjects.

"I would like to congratulate all of the students for their hard work and outstanding results. Well done!"

"All students follow a challenging academic curriculum with well above the national entry for ebacc subjects.

"These results represent outstanding progress for all students from their starting points at the academy and highlight the continued and sustained progress the academy makes overall."
