Former members of a disbanded motorbike club reunited to carry on a long standing charity tradition after delivering toys to West Suffolk Hospital’s children’s ward.

About 20 people continued Beck Row Bikers’ legacy by taking part in the 11-year-old festive toy run to the Rainbow Ward on Sunday.

Barbara Craig, founder of Beck Row Bikers which closed in July, said: “We wanted to carry it on because it’s been going for so long.

“We managed to fill a hospital bed with toys. I had about 25 toys in my bag. When we closed the club bank account we took the money out of that and used it to buy toys. Everyone brought one or two themselves.”

She said a lady in Barton Mills donated knitted teddies.

Miss Craig said they will continue the toy run as well as an annual Easter egg run in aid of the children’s ward.
