Krumpets win first heat of BurySOUND 2025 at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds
A town’s popular music competition has named its first heat winners who are now set to perform in the grand final.
This year’s BurySOUND launched with a sold-out show at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday showcasing a night of emerging talent.
Acts including Blaaze, Grace Wells, Helix, Krumpets and Sub-Liminal took to the stage with guest headliners Headcheck closing the night.
Folk-rock trio Krumpets emerged victorious and will now compete in the grand final at The Apex on Saturday, April 12.
Heat two is set for Saturday, March 8, at The Hunter Club and will see Bi-Neural, Drop Dead Sally, Jackism, Manic Stanley and Serena Gran battle it out while $ebbuku will headline.

At the grand final at The Apex, two winners will be crowned — the overall BurySOUND winners and the Rising Star Award (runner-up).
Prizes include £500 and £250 cash awards from Vision Express, recording sessions, band merchandise packages and gig opportunities.
