Five of the best Christmas wreath-making workshops across Suffolk in 2021

Shhh...we hate to mention it but with fewer than 70 days until Christmas (yes, we said it) the time has come to start thinking about the festive season.

Although December 25 may be two months away, festive craft workshops are already open for bookings.

And the saying 'the early bird catches the worm' is no truer than in the case of wreath-making workshops. If you want your front door to be the envy of your neighbours, don't wait until the last minute to book as places tend to get snapped up weeks in advance. In fact, some of those we intended to include in this list had already sold out!

Here are five of the best wreath workshops across the county – which still have tickets available – so you can get all the festive feels and give your home the wow factor this Christmas.

1. Botanical Lace Flower Studio at No5 Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, December 9 and 10

Becci Adams will be weaving her wreath-making magic as her workshops return, this year within the cosy surroundings of No5 Angel Hill.

Starting at 7pm on December 9 and 10, participants will warm up with mulled wine and a mince pie before making a luxury wreath on a 10in base with greenery, orange slices, ribbons, cinnamon sticks, cones and decor.

Becci says: "This year we are going big: more green; more sparkle and more spice."

The workshops cost £60.

Book by calling Becci on 07516418526 or email botanicallace@mail.com

2.West Suffolk College in Sudbury, Cornard Road, December 3

No particular skills or experience are needed to join in with this festive workshop, which will be led by an experienced tutor who will take participants through the process step by step to create their own unique wreath.

Unlike most of the other workshops here the workshop fee does not cover the cost of all materials – a list of suggested foliage and decorations will be sent to participants prior to the event, while a few items may be available from the tutor at a nominal cost.
