Five more people charged after police blitz on drugs in Bury St Edmunds and West Suffolk




A further five people have been charged after a police blitz targeting the supply of drugs in West Suffolk.

Police issued 10 warrants and targeted a number of properties including in the Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill areas this week.

On Wednesday, eight arrests were made with the following outcomes:

  • Lee Gray, 46, of Church Walks in Bury St Edmunds, has been charged with four counts of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning ( October 4).
  • Jacob Cole, 20, of Hatter Street in Bury St Edmunds, has been charged with four counts of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning.
  • Adrian Atkinson, 18, of Dove Close in Grays, has been charged with two counts counts of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning.
  • A 17-year-old male has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning.
  • Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were all released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Yesterday (Thursday), a further arrest was made:

  • Daniel Shorey, 36, of Schoolhall Lane in Bury St Edmunds, was charged with four counts of conspiracy to supply drugs. He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich magistrates court this morning.
