Fire crews tackle blaze at Thurston hotel

Fire crews extinguished a fire at a pub in Thurston this evening, Friday November 13.
Crews were called at 5.13pm to The Grange Hotel in Barton Rd where a small fire had broken out in a laundry area of an outbuilding used as a linen store.
A crew from Bury St Edmunds and one appliance from Ixworth used breathing apparatus and one jet and hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The flames were under control by 5.44pm and both crews were back on station by 6.30pm
