Bury St Edmunds' Moyse's Hall hosts exhibit on the Three Goats Head Inn
Visitors to the Moyse’s Hall museum in Bury St Edmunds will be be able to delve into the history of the house of Colin Pedric, which was once the Three Goats Head Inn.
The property’s 250 years as a pub has provided some of the most colourful stories of its past.
Teaming up with the Churchgate Area Association, the Friends of Moyse’s Hall have funded the exhibit which includes artefacts and the full interesting history of the house.
The friends already have begun collecting information on other houses in Bury St Edmunds and have another exhibition lined up for the new year.
If your house has an interesting history and you would like to share it, please contact friends Chair Diane Hind on 07890198957.
On Friday, October 14, the friends have arranged for author and ex-policeman Alan Cook to give a talk at the museum.
The talk: Truncheons and Tipstaves, will look at early policing including the ‘British police constable’s weapon of choice’, tickets are available via the Apex on 01284 758000.
It will start at 7pm and tickets are priced at £10 per person and £9 for Friends of Moyse's Hall Museum.
