90 Bury St Edmunds fans meet Justin Lee Collins and Gareth David-Lloyd




Fans gathered for a Covid-safe meet and greet with two TV stars and a surprise guest.

Actor Gareth David-Lloyd joined presenter and comedian Justin Lee Collins to meet fans both face-to-face and virtually at Mr Bulb Tattoos and Collectables, in Bury St Edmunds. An unexpected appearance was also made by World Dart Champion Keith Deller.

The event was attended by 50 people face-to-face and 40 virtually.

Those who chose the virtual option were given a timed slot booked in advance so they could speak to the two tv stars individually.

One fan took to twitter to say: "Was awesome meeting Justin and Gareth. I had such a great time."

Another fan said: "This was so much fun. They were so kind."

Owner Gavin Rodrigues said: “It was a wonderful day, everyone was so happy to be there.”

To ensure the event was Covid safe fans queues were spread out to allow for social distancing and masks were only removed for pictures. Those working in the shop on the day of the meet and greet's were also Covid tested before the event.

This was the first time the venue had hosted this type of event since the pandemic.

Mr Rodrigues also hinted at a possible return visit from Mr David-Lloyd, adding: “Keep an eye on our page and our website. He’s lead singer in a band, Blue Gillespie. We are looking at venues and dates.”
