Bury St Edmunds shoppers catch a glimpse inside the new Primark store
Excited shoppers caught their first glimpse inside the new Bury St Edmunds Primark store today.
As work started on the entrance way, the doors were opened, through which the evolving interior could be seen.
Arc shopping centre security stood guard at the door to stop shoppers congregating.
The new store sign was installed earlier this month.
The store, which will create about 90 jobs, is due to open next year on the ground and first floors of the empty department store.
A specific opening date has yet to be confirmed.
A 228 seat, three screen Everyman Cinema is also due to welcome customers early next year when it launches in the basement of the shopping centre’s flagship unit.
The store replaces Debenhams.
Town residents have started a Facebook group in support of the store.
