E-commerce company in Bury St Edmunds appoints new board member and aims to double in size




A Bury St Edmunds based company which optimises a brand's online presence is aiming to double its workforce over the coming year.

Marketplace AMP, which operates at St Andrew's Street South, has also just appointed Jo Vertigan as a non executive director. Jo joins the company with a wealth of experience in e-commerce.

He is chairman of the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor Delivery Board and structured the first Sony UK and Amazon trading agreement in 2001 as well as running Sony UK's e-commerce business.

Marketplace AMP's commercial director, Matt Anderson, said: "Jo's knowledge makes him a strong addition to the agency, sharing our vision of how technology will influence consumer buying habits.

"He is a highly respected international digital consultant with deep expertise in e-commerce and emerging technology.

"Jo's experience with working on high growth digital solutions strengthens the existing skill set of the board and he joins us at a pivotal time where we are launching out new Alexa skills division, offering clients voice strategy and UX (user experience) design and skills marketing."

The agency is launching a recruitment drive looking to double in size by 2020. The UK team is supported by multilingual teams based in France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
