An owner of a traditional Polish pottery shop is on a mission to promote products from her country as she opened her second store over the weekend.

Sabina Szatan, 47, who moved from Poland to the UK over 17 years ago, welcomed customers to her new store in Lavenham on Saturday.

Fram Home & Gifts, in Water Lane, is a second shop for Sabina, who opened her first store in Framlingham eight months ago.

Sabina said owning her own pottery shop has been a dream come true.

“I’ve always dreamt of having a small pottery shop,” said Sabina, who runs both stores with her husband Tadeusz.

“We moved from Cambridge to Framlingham in August and it made us very happy. It’s a great place to live and people are very friendly – they always smile.

“I’m very excited to finally have a store here because we’ve been to Lavenham many times and I thought it was such a beautiful place.

“There are lots of small independent shop and we’re located in a grade-II listed building, which I think is perfect for the pottery.”
