Flavour and fragrance solutions company Treatt has appointed a developer for its new global headquarters in Bury St Edmunds.

Jaynic will develop Treatt’s base at Suffolk Park after a detailed planning application was submitted to St Edmundsbury Borough Council for the first phase, which includes offices, manufacturing, logistics and a warehousing facility totalling 112,000 sq ft.

There is provision to expand up to 200,000 sq ft in a later phase.

Treatt occupies six separate buildings, in Northern Way, Bury, and the Suffolk Park facility will allow it to bring all its activities onto one site.

Daemmon Reeve, group CEO of Treatt, said: “Jaynic has a breadth of relevant experience and a proven track record and we are excited to have them on board for what is going to be a key part of Treatt’s future.”

The new development will be within New Anglia’s Enterprise Zone and qualifying occupiers can obtain up to £55,000 per annum of business rates relief for five years totalling £275,000.
