Bloor Homes applies for Thurston Grove, off Beyton Road, near Bury St Edmunds, welcome signs

A developer has applied to install new welcome signs at its 210-home project in a village.

Bloor Homes submitted an advertisment consent application to Mid Suffolk District Council for the Thurston Grove monoliths, off Beyton Road, on Monday.

There would be two 3.5 metre high by 1.5m wide signs either side of the site’s Beyton Road entrance, accompanied by 15 six-metre flagpoles.

The poles themselves would have flags measuring two metres by one metre hanging from them.

The monoliths would read ‘Welcome to Thurston Grove, a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes. Open daily 10am to 5pm.’
