Delays on A14 eastbound at Elmswell, near Bury St Edmunds, after collision between a car and two vans

Drivers experienced delays on a key Suffolk route this morning after a collision involving three vehicles.

The A14 eastbound between junction 47A, Elmswell to junction 49, was blocked after the incident at 9.41am.

Police, the ambulance service and National Highways were called to the scene.

At 11.45am a police spokesman said the three vehicles involved in the collision, a car and two vans, had been recovered and there were no reported injuries.

The collision was within the roadwork area - according to the AA traffic map traffic is now moving slowly.
