Community midwife hub phone line, run by West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, closed due to staff sickness and annual leave
A community midwife hub for West Suffolk has been forced to close until next week due to staff sickness and annual leave.
West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust said the hub, which is a phone line run between 9am and 2pm and supported by two members of staff, will reopen on Monday.
Anyone with any immediate concerns should contact triage on 01284 712723.
A spokesperson for the trust, which runs West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, said patients can still receive the information they need by calling the number provided.
The number goes through to ward staff.
They said the closure hadn’t resulted in any risk to patient safety or the cancellation of clinics.
The closure was due to a combination of annual leave and sickness, they added.
