Team of colleagues from Pitkin & Ruddock to skydive over Beccles Airfield for mental health charity Suffolk Mind

A group of colleagues will skydive in aid of a mental health charity later this month, with the aim of raising £10,000.

Pitkin & Ruddock, which specialises in air conditioning for businesses, has a presence in Bury St Edmunds, with a new office currently under construction in Kempson Way.

A 22-strong team from the company will skydive over Beccles Airfield on September 30.

This is in a bid to raise money for Suffolk Mind.

Pitkin & Ruddock’s managing director, Damian Nunn, said the choice of charity reflected the firm’s priorities.

He stated: “We wanted a charity partner for our business, because we often have people say: ‘Can you sponsor us for this?’ ‘Can you sponsor us for that?’

“We wanted to show our support for our staff’s mental wellbeing.

“After the pandemic, we felt the staff needed somewhere to go, should they need it. Mind provides these services.”

So far, the team have raised almost half of their £10,000 target.
