Farmers and land owners are being warned to be on guard for New Year raves.

The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) eastern region is advising members to reduce the risk of illegal activity in empty and remote buildings by ensuring they are secure and regularly monitored and that any unusual activity is reported to the police.

CLA eastern regional director Nicola Currie said: “Police find it much harder to shut down a rave once it has started so if you spot anyone suspicious on rural land, please report such activity on the non-emergency number of 101 as soon as possible.”
