St Nicholas Hospice Care’s shop in Barton Road, Bury St Edmunds, reopens after expansion
A charity shop has reopened following an expansion - and is on the lookout for more volunteers.
St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Barton Road shop in Bury St Edmunds officially welcomed back customers last Monday.
After expanding into the unoccupied site next door on the Bartons Retail Park, the whole of the first floor features clothing and accessories.
Meanwhile, the ground floor has become a clearance shop.
Karen Jones, the hospice’s retail support manager, said: “With an extended shop space, we can offer more high-quality pre-loved goods and furniture for sale, and we are very pleased with how everything has come together at the shop.
“Whether you’ve shopped with us for years, or are popping in for the first time, we have so many items for you to look through.
“With more space, we are also on the lookout for more volunteers to support us, so if you’re interested in giving your time to us, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.”
All funds raised by the shop, which is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm, support the hospice’s work across West Suffolk and Thetford caring for those facing dying, death and grief.
