Chance to win £9,750 in St Nicholas Hospice Care lottery rollover

Thousands of pounds could be won in a charity lottery this week, thanks to a rollover pot of £9,750.

Tickets for the St Nicholas Hospice Care Lottery cost £1 and give players the chance to win prizes ranging from £10 up to the bumper rollover fund.

If the lottery’s rollover amount of £9,750, is not won this Friday (April 24), it means the jackpot will reach its maximum amount, resulting in a £10,000 winner when the Friday, May 1 draw takes place.

Alison Bacon-Snow, St Nicholas Hospice Care’s lottery manager, said: “The lottery is such an important part of the hospice’s fundraising. It is a steady, reliable income and also a fun way for our community to support the charity.

“Although everyone is going through uncertain times at the moment, we have been able to continue running our lottery, which helps generate vital funds to support our services.

“Our jackpot doesn’t often get to this level, so it will be an exciting wait for our members.”

Every Friday, players win prizes ranging from £10 to £1,000.

The second prize is £250, but if this is not won it rolls over to the following week, increasing by £250 each week until it is won or reaches £10,000 – at which point one player is guaranteed to scoop the whole amount.

The weekly lottery is drawn every Friday and raises more than £350,000 for the charity each year.
