Catalytic converter and exhaust system stolen from van in Thetford

Police are reminding motorists to keep their vehicles safe and secure after another catalytic converter theft in Thetford.

The incident took place in the Bury Road lorry park between 5pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday, when the exhaust system and catalytic converter were removed from a white Mercedes Sprinter van.

To improve vehicle security, officers have advised owners to keep private vehicles in secured garages, or in well-lit public areas if no garage is available, and to keep commercial vehicles in locked buildings or compounds.

Motorists are also advised to use lighting, alarms and CCTV to deter thieves.
