Bury St Edmunds Co-op in Out Risbygate targeted in knifepoint robbery
Cash was stolen in a knifepoint robbery at a Co-op foodstore in Bury St Edmunds.
The incident was at about 7.20pm yesterday (June 26) at the Co-op, in Out Risbygate, when a male entered the shop, jumped over the counter, demanded money and produced a knife.
He took cash out of the till and left.
No one was harmed during the incident.
The male was seen running away from the Co-op up Albert Street and then left into Princes Street.
He is described as being dressed in dark-coloured clothing with a hood pulled up around his face.
He was wearing yellow tinted glasses.
Detectives would also like to identify a male with a mountain bike stood in the doorway during the robbery.
He was wearing a black hooded top and beige combat trousers and had a red/black bicycle.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses - or anyone driving in the vicinity of the incident last night who has a dashcam in their vehicle - to come forward.
