Bury St Edmunds car dealership staff facing redundancy in closure plans




Staff at a Bury St Edmunds car dealership are facing redundancy under plans to close the site.

Marshall Motor Group is in consultation with all 21 staff at Marshall Ford Bury St Edmunds, in Easlea Road.

A spokesman said: "Marshall is one of the largest employers in the area and hope to redeploy as many people as possible.

"They recently made a significant investment in Cambridge with their new Ford Store investment so that will serve the Bury territory moving forward, and they also hope to redeploy colleagues from Bury to that site.

"Ford announced pre-Covid their plans to rationalise their network, which has been well documented nationally."
