Bury St Edmunds police incident: Man, 59, assaulted emergency worker

A man was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker, following an incident outside Wetherspoon's in Bury St Edmunds.
The 59-year-old from Norfolk was detained yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, July 24) following what police described as a 'fail to stop' incident.
Four police cars were seen in the Abbeygate Street / Traverse area of town around 4pm.

The unnamed man was also arrested for failing to stop when directed.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning, where he received a formal caution.
