Bury St Edmunds coffee shop Guat's Up to close
A Bury St Edmunds coffee shop is to close at the end of this month.
Guat's Up, in Guildhall Street, will welcome customers for the last time on July 31.
Owner Rob Butterworth said it felt like a 'natural end' as the lease on the premises is due to expire and he needs to focus on his other business, coffee roasters and tea smiths Butterworth & Son, in Boldero Road.
Guat's Up was launched nearly five years ago.
Mr Butterworth said Butterworth & Son was his 'core business' which needed his attention during the coronavirus pandemic.
"It's sad with good memories, I've made some great friends and had great staff always," he said.
"It's sad times but I've been in business now over 25 years and there's always something which changes.
"Although it's been my life for the last five years, it feels like something has got to change right now as everything is and at this time it's that unfortunately.
"It feels like a natural end to it with the lease coming to an end. It's really time for a change.
"So it's goodbye for now. It might not be goodbye forever but it's just one of those things."
