Bury St Edmunds Christmas Light Switch On: Watch full video of the event

Christmas has arrived in Bury St Edmunds tonight, after the town's Christmas lights were switched on by local hero Daniel Challenor.

Daniel was chosen to switch the Christmas lights on this year after saving a man's life when he collapsed in Wagamama, where Daniel works.

There were two countdowns one in Cornhill, which hosted funfair rides, festive food and drink stalls and huskies and one in the arc shopping centre where two schoolchildren switched on the lights.
