Bury St Edmunds care home working on music project with school pupils welcomes Pudsey Bear
Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear visited residents at a Bury St Edmunds care home which has embarked on a music project with primary school children.
The charity mascot was welcomed by St Peter’s House, in Out Risbygate, in a visit made possible by Michelle Frost, community champion at Asda.
Pupils from Sexton’s Manor Primary were also invited as the home, which caters for people with dementia, is running a music project with them. Residents have been working with pupils at the school to create music leading upto Christmas and have been invited to the school’s carol concert.
Naomi Nunn, general manager at the care home, said: “It’s about getting the young and old together. With dementia, music is very important to them.”
