Bury St Edmunds business leader named in power list of part-time bosses
A Bury St Edmunds business leader has been named in a national power list of people who do top jobs but for less than five days a week.
Jane Vincent, chief executive of WS Training, of Bury St Edmunds, has been included in the 2015 Power Part Time List – a roll call of the UK’s top 50 men and women who work in senior, business-critical roles, all on less than five days per week.
Our continued growth benefits from the expertise of a healthy mix of both full-time and part-time staff.
The 2015 Power Part Time List – now in its fourth year – is compiled annually by Timewise co-founders Karen Mattison and Emma Stewart.
Jane said: “I’m honoured to have been included in the Power Part Time List and that, by opening up about my own personal working patterns, I can help pave the way for future generations of workers – men as well as women - who will need to fit work with other major commitments in life.”
Jane works three days a week and says she does so because of the work she does supporting the community and her belief that sustained success needs a good work life balance.
She has built her business over 20 years by developing and empowering staff to take leadership. It has five centres and more than 160 staff.
She said: “We have many staff who work part time, with a number who hold key positions. We value all our staff.
“Our continued growth benefits from the expertise of a healthy mix of both full-time and part-time staff.”
