Bury’s dapper new menswear shop
A new independent luxury menswear shop in Bury St Edmunds is officially launching on Saturday.
Dapper Fox, in The Traverse, sells a variety of smart and casual clothing, sourcing most of its materials and fabrics from the UK, including silks from Sudbury. The shop, which opened on October 17, also has its own in-house seamstress who can make alterations to any item of clothing to make sure they fit just right.
Store Manager Thomas Betts said the shop’s location was perfect for the business.
“On market day in particular this whole street can become a walkway. Once the work on Cupola House is completed this will be one of the best streets in the town for independent clothing.
“The team here have all worked in retail with more than 10 years’ experience between us including suiting and made-to-measure.
“We have had a really positive reaction to the shop so far.
“A lot of people are surprised we are not a chain.
“We are an ambitious team but we are very proud to be independent.”
This weekend Dapper Fox is offering customers a £10 gift voucher for spending more than £50, a £20 voucher for spending more than £100 and a £50 voucher for spending more than £200.
