Bury’s Club Brazilia to reopen with ‘new feel’
The new managers of a Bury St Edmunds nightclub have said they want to bring it a ‘new lease of life’.
Club Brazilia, on Station Hill, is set to reopen next Saturday, July 25, after a long absence from the town’s nightlife scene.
Conor Marks, who has been involved with the club’s renovations, said: “Brazilia has a very big history in the town, it is as much a part of the history as any of the landmarks.
“We’re giving people a clubbing experience which has been missing in Bury.
“We were surprised how well its reopening was received. People want to see it given a new lease of life.
“We are trying to bring back the old Brazilia, but with a new feel.
Mr Marks said the interior of the club had been ‘stripped bare’ before refurbishments, including new flooring and new sound and lighting systems, took palce.
For its opening night the club will have extra entertainment including a Polaroid photo booth, and it has started up a guest list on its Facebook page for free entry before 11.30pm.
