Bonfire Night: Everything you need to know about fireworks events in your area

Bury St Edmunds Round Table are no strangers to organising fireworks displays having hosted the Abbey Gardens event for more than 20 years.

And this year it’s no different – the sky above the ancient monastery will be lit up by the pyrotechnic brilliance of fireworks contractor Titanium – which also stages the London New Year’s Eve display – on Saturday, November 2.

Gates open at 5.30pm and as well as fireworks there will also be a fun fair, bars, live music and food stalls. Fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Many of you may remember last year’s event had to be cancelled due to safety reasons due to high winds, so anyone with a ticket for that event can use it on the gate this year.

Otherwise tickets are: In advance – £5 adults, £4 children, £15 family ticket. On the gate – £6 adults, £5 children, £20 family ticket.

Tickets are available from Bury St Edmunds Tesco, Sainsbury’s, The Apex, Sheridans and Croasdales.

Sheridans is the headline sponsor and, as always, the event is raising funds for local charitiies, with mental health charity Suffolk Mind the partner charity this year.
