Blackthorpe Barn Best of British craft weekends start tomorrow
An event which signals the start of the festive season for many starts in Rougham this weekend.
Blackthorpe Barn is opening for the first of its Best of British Craft events tomorrow and Sunday.
Every year during weekends in November and December the barn showcases some of the best British craft talent in the country.
George Agnew, owner of Blackthorpe Barn and Rougham Estate, said: “We work hard every year to ensure we offer a collection of wonderful hand-crafted items.
"The craft talent this year is exceptional. There is plenty to inspire all visitors and lots of choice to find a special gift.”
Stall holders at Blackthorpe Barn must be the craft-maker so they are able to talk about their crafts.
They are chosen to ensure displays are high-quality and varied, with many exhibitors changing each weekend.
This year, visitors will be able to see sculpture and ceramics, wooden, metal and glass creations, traditional and textile jewellery, leather items, feltware, homewares and furniture, artworks and landscapes, health and beauty, food and more.
Blackthorpe Barn is also hosting craft-led workshops where participants can make Christmas garlands, wreaths, decorative willow items, Batik silk scarf making, silver pendant making and more. Workshops can be booked online.
The Country Christmas Shop, with decorations, gifts and Christmas trees, opens on November 22.
