Beyton-based charity back from latest trip to Kenya

Beyton-based charity The Doxa Project have been continuing their excellent work out in Kenya thanks to the kindness and regular donations from the Bury St Edmunds community.

Representatives of the project have just returned from Africa where they have been helping and supporting many people in need, including Grace from the slum area of Nakuru.

Ray Balmer and Ben Ryan, who helped for the charity, are two of the team.

They have opened up an office in the middle of the slum so they are able to focus on and increase their community work.

It is the opening of this office, combined with changes at the school, that have helped them identify the next steps for The Doxa Project.

Rather than just sponsor individual children through a primary education, Doxa would also like to support and provide additional work for their families with the stricken Grace being a prime example.

The group are happy to promote their work and share their experiences by doing talks out in the community.
