Bury St Edmunds Halifax bank branch manager appears on national TV advert

A Bury St Edmunds bank branch manager has made it on to a national TV advert.

Leannie Woods, 31, has been the branch manager at Halifax in the town centre since 2016, and after a short video audition earlier this year, was selected to feature on the bank’s new ‘Wherever’ advert, offering support to customers during a tough year.

Leannie, who lives near to Bury, said customer feedback on the advert had been really ‘positive.’

“It’s had a really positive reaction from the customers,” she said.

“They love that it’s someone local that’s been on there, especially our regulars, they love that it’s their branch manager that’s been on the TV.”
