Arrests made after suspected hare coursers in Ixworth 'threatened to ram' car




Three men have been arrested after suspected hare coursers 'threatened to ram' a car.

Suffolk Rural and Wildlife Policing tweeted this morning about reports of hare coursers in the Ixworth area driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee who 'threatened to ram' a car belonging to witnesses.

This afternoon, they said the occupants of the Jeep were arrested near Elveden.

They said: "Dogs and vehicle seized as suspects tried to get away by running over the A11, endangering travelling public.

"Thanks to members of public for keeping us updated with suspects' whereabouts."

A Suffolk Police spokesman added that they were called just before 9.55am and three men, aged 27, 36 and 43, were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Poluce Investigation Centre for questioning.
