Suffolk supermarkets petrol prices drop including Asda in Bury St Edmunds
Motorists across Suffolk can breathe a small sigh of relief this week as some petrol stations begin to lower prices.
Yesterday evening, Asda in Bury St Edmunds was selling petrol at 178.7 pence per litre, a significant decrease from July 26 when the price there was 184.7.
Last week Asda announced that nationally they were going to drop the price of petrol by 5p and diesel by 3p.
Other supermarkets, that have also said they will cut prices include Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons.
In Stowmarket, prices have also started to fall slightly.
Yesterday, petrol prices at Tesco had dropped to 180.9 pence per litre - compared to 193.9 a week before on July 27 - according to price comparison site Confused.com.
Nearby at the Esso garage in Combs Ford prices on Wednesday evening were 181.9 per litre for unleaded and 192.9 per litre for diesel.
