On both occasions, a lone woman out walking their dog said a man appeared to be following them, walking past them and doubling back, hiding behind bushes and in general acting strangely.

The man is described as white, around 6ft tall, of slim build and aged between 25 and 35.

Although on neither occasion did he attempt to make any form of physical contact with the women, police are aware of the alarm this type of behaviour has caused in the local community.

As such, officers have been conducting village inquiries and residents can expect to see uniformed patrols taking place.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Stowmarket Community Policing Team, via 101, quoting reference: 37/11289/25.
