The team at Primark in Bury St Edmunds welcomed hundreds of customers through the doors of the new store on opening day.

SuffolkNews was there to capture the key moments as town mayor, Cllr Diane Hind, cut the ribbon and Philippa Nibbs, Primark’s director of sales for London and South East, asked: “Bury St Edmunds are you ready for us?”

The first shoppers to step inside the store at the arc Shopping Centre were greeted by 150 members of staff, who formed an arch for them to walk through.
