Incident in Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, sees man assaulted and taken to hospital with air ambulance, multiple police cars and police dogs at scene
Multiple emergency services attended an incident in a village near Bury St Edmunds last night after a man was assaulted.
Police were alerted at 9.50pm to the incident in Cox Lane, Great Barton.
An air ambulance was spotted landing at the village playing field at 10.30pm.
Five police cars and police dogs were also seen.
Officers told residents to stay indoors.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “Emergency services attended an incident in Great Barton last night after a resident was assaulted and taken to hospital for treatment.
“Police are treating this as an isolated incident and there is not believed to be a threat to the wider community.”
The East Anglian Air Ambulance confirmed it was called to the incident but was stood down at the scene.
