East Anglian Air Ambulance lands on Moreton Hall estate, Bury St Edmunds, after man suffers injury
An air ambulance was seen landing at a playing field in Bury St Edmunds this morning after a man in his 40s suffered an accidental injury.
The ambulance was seen circling the Moreton Hall estate, before landing on Heldhaw Playing Fields, according to an eyewitness.
A spokesperson for the East Anglian Air Ambulance confirmed that the air ambulance was called to the scene at 8.52am.
The spokesperson added: "Doctor Ed Gold and Critical Care Paramedic Chris Neil assisted the EEAST team at the scene by helping to give the patient a full assessment and administering advanced pain relief. The man was then taken to West Suffolk Hospital, by the EEAST land ambulance team, for further treatment."
Cllr Peter Thompson, Mayor of Bury St Edmunds, said: "I do not know what has happened.
"The helicopter was flying at about school time. It landed and paramedics attended."
