Air ambulance lands in field in Thurston, near Bury St Edmunds

An air ambulance landed in a field in a village near Bury St Edmunds this morning.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance Anglia Two crew was spotted in a field in Barrell's Road, Thurston, at just before 10.15am.

It is understood they were attending an emergency at a nearby property.

The East of England Ambulance Service has since confirmed a man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

They were called following reports of a man with a medical emergency.
