A1088 Thetford Road in Ixworth set for night-time closure for allow for essential repairs

Essential repairs are set to begin on a main road through Ixworth, which will be shut overnight while the works are ongoing.

The A1088 Thetford Road will be closed to traffic on weeknights between Monday, July 8 and Thursday, July 18, to allow pre-surface dressing road repairs to be carried out.

Suffolk Highways confirmed that, over the duration of the closure, northbound traffic will be diverted clockwise via the A143, A134, A11, A1066, A1088, and no vice versa.

For southbound traffic, the diversion will go via the A1088, A1066, A11, London Road, Thetford, A134, A143, and no vice versa.
