Beccles public order incident in Morrisons supermarket, George Westwood Way, sees woman shouted at and threatened




An incident where a woman was shouted at and threatened in the car park of a Suffolk supermarket is being investigated by police.

Between 1pm and 1.15pm on Thursday January 20 in the Morrisons car park in George Westwood Way, Beccles, a woman in her 50s was driving a white Audi looking for a parking space.

She reported that she was approached at speed by a man driving a small dark blue car, possibly a Ford Fiesta or a Peugeot.

The man allegedly shouted at the woman and made aggressive threats towards her, making her feel distressed. The man is then reported to have entered the store.

It was also reported that the man was seen assaulting another man in the car park following an aggressive argument.

Police are appealing for the victim in the assault to get in contact to help with enquiries and establish the circumstances of the incident.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his 60s, tall and of stocky build. He had white hair and a long, white beard, and was wearing blue jeans.
