Woman in 60s 'pushed over' by man after dog attacked by another canine in Fen Meadow, Halesworth
A woman in her 60s was allegedly pushed over and verbally abused by a man after her dog was attacked by another canine off the lead.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault in Halesworth which happened at about 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Officers said the incident took place on Fen Meadow when the woman was walking her dog and it was attacked by another dog, which was reportedly off the lead.
A police spokesman said: "The victim managed to get the two dogs apart when the male owner of the second dog approached her and accused her of hitting his dog.
"He pushed her over and was verbally abusive to her."
While the woman was not injured, she had a sore neck after the incident.
The man is described as in his 30s. He was wearing dark clothes and his dog was a Tibetan Terrier/Cockapoo style dog that was caramel in colour.
